Lonely Lich

Centuries have come and gone
Time is just an illusion
My mission, which was once clear
Is now veiled with confusion.

Was it immortality I sought after?
Or, perhaps a task to complete?
Either way, the answer eludes me
As I wander alone, asking is this defeat?
